This major 51.1 km crossing, spanning three days of walking, offers a spectacular immersion between the Mediterranean and the foothills of the Alps, with an elevation gain of 1816m and a loss of 2034m. Starting from the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, the pilgrim ascends towards Mont Boron before crossing Nice, a city rich in Jacobean history where the Sainte-Réparate Cathedral is a spiritual landmark. The path then winds through the hinterland hills, passing charming hamlets and offering vistas of the majestic Baous. The journey ends in the medieval glass-making village of Biot, after trekking through wooded valleys and ancient olive groves.
